Increasing the business value: optimisation of mine plans

The 2nd International Seminar on Mine Planning, MINEPLANNING 2011, took place from 8-10 June 2011 in the Hotel del Desierto, Enjoy, Antofagasta, Chile. The seminar was organised by GECAMIN, the Universidad de Chile and the Colorado School of Mines, USA. For the first time, the 2nd International Seminar on Geology for the Mining Industry took place in parallel with MINEPLANNING and both events gathered over 400 participants from around the world.
The technical programme of the event included presentations by authors from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Cuba and USA, who addressed ―in more than 40 technical presentations― relevant topics for the mining industry...

The MINEPLANNING 2011 Organising Committee was proud to welcome over 400 delegates to Antofagasta, Chile for a discussion of new developments and challenges in mine planning.
